Abe Erb Brewing to open second location in downtown Kitchener

Kitchener – Abe Erb Brewing Co. will open a second location in downtown Kitchener this Fall, reports the Waterloo Record.

Located in Kitchener’s historic Tannery building, built in the 1850s, Abe Erb 2.0 will boast five times the capacity of its uptown Waterloo counterpart. A pair of fermenters will adorn the outside of the new location, says The Record.

Abe Erb’s original King St South location opened in October 2014. The name stems from Waterloo’s Mennonite settler Abraham Erb.

Niagara College Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management graduate, Ian Pattendon, will head brewing at the new 151 Charles St location.
