Amsterdam and Great Lakes collaborative Maverick & Gose set for LCBO
Amsterdam Brewery and Great Lakes Brewery of Toronto, ON today announced the release of Maverick & Gose, a German medieval-origin Gose beer aged four-months in Ontario Chardonnay barrels, which will enter LCBOs later this month.
This is the first all-Ontario collaborative beer to be released in the LCBO.
Brewed predominantly with wheat malt, pink Himalayan salt, and spices, it produces notes of lemon, herbs, and a slight saltiness.
“We came up with the idea whilst playing shirtless, greased up beach volleyball, you know, like in the movie Top Gun, and we thought it would be fitting to collab on this one of a kind beer,” says Lackey. “I’m super pumped to be part of the first Canadian craft beer collaboration that will grace the shelves at the LCBO. It was a pleasure creating this beer with Iain and the Amsterdam crew.”
Maverick & Gose will be available in 500mL bottles at the LCBO the week of April 29 for $6.95 and the Amsterdam retail store.
