Amsterdam announces Barrel Aged Double Tempest Imperial Stout

tempestAmsterdam Brewing Co. of Toronto, ON today announced its upcoming Barrel Aged Double Tempest Imperial Stout – a beefed-up version of its standard Tempest Imperial Stout.

Double Tempest is brewed doubling up on both malt and hops then aged in Four Roses bourbon barrels for 9 months finishing at 15% ABV and 115 IBUs.

“Barrel Aged Double Tempest is full of dense chocolate and deep malt flavours with a rich, long candied bourbon and oak finish,” says Amsterdam. It should age well for up to 3 years.

Available beginning Saturday, November 30 at 1pm, anyone purchasing four or more bottles at the brewery or Amsterdam BrewHouse will receive a voucher redeemable at the BrewHouse for a limited edition 3-year vertical flight of its Tempest Imperial Stout.
