Amsterdam Brewery takes silver at World Beer Cup 2018Tweet
Nashville, TN – The annual Craft Brewers Conference put on by the US’ Brewers Association (BA) culminated this week with the World Beer Cup competition which brought in more than 8000 beer entries worldwide for 2018.
Amsterdam Brewery was among the 14 Canadian brewery winners – and the only brewery from Ontario – earning a silver for their Bord du Lac Saison.
“Beers were judged during six sessions over a period of three days by an elite panel of 295 judges from 33 countries—72 percent of whom were from outside the United States. Judges evaluated 8,234 beers—a 25 percent increase in the number of entries from the 2016 World Beer Cup. Of the 2,515 participating breweries, 807 were from outside the United States,” stated the BA.
