Beau’s and Tom Green join forces on beer, host Yuk Yuk shows
Beau’s All Natural Brewing of Vankleek Hill have announced details surrounding a collaborative brew with Canadian comedian, Tom Green, in form of a Milk stout, playing homage to one of Green’s past comedic antics.
“Tom Green initially approached Beau’s All Natural with the idea of making a beer together last summer”, explained Beau’s. “When Toronto’s Session Craft Beer Festival proposed the idea of “Collaboration Nation” (having Ontario craft breweries pair themselves with an artist and develop a beer together), the plan became a reality.”
Tom Green preferred to share his feelings about the collaboration in song:
“This is The Tom Green Beer
It’s not The Green Tom Beer
This is my favourite beer
Because it is my beer.”
The official launch of the Tom Green Beer includes five stand-up comedy shows featuring Green, to be held at Yuk Yuk’s on June 13-15 in Ottawa. All performances will have The Tom Green Beer available for sale, while the Thursday June 13 show will host a post-show tasting with Beau’s co-founder Steve Beauchesne and brewmaster Matthew O’Hara.
Additonally, Tom Green Beer will be on hand at this summer’s SESSION Craft Beer Festival in Toronto on Saturday, June 22, part of OCB Week.
