Beau’s announces heirloom style Opa’s Gose with attached sea salt bag

opas-productshotBeau’s All Natural Brewing of Vankleek Hill, ON today announced the release of  Opa’s Gose, an unfiltered 5% ABV wheat beer brewed with coriander and sea salt in the German Gose style.

Each bottle comes with a Beau’s drawstring bag containing sea salt that can be added to the beer to taste. Optionally adding the salt can further define and enhance each flavour creating a lively effect as the salt releases carbonation in their glass says Beau’s.

“Opa’s Gose is a revival of an ancient beer style that originated in and around the Saxon capital of Leipzig, Germany. The Gose style takes its name from a river that flows through the town of Goslar, in Lower Saxony. The saltiness, which typifies the style, is attributable to the mineral-rich aquifers that supplied the water for brewhouses in the region”, writes Beau’s.

Available this Thursday, July 11 in 600 mL bottles, Opa’s Gose is available through the LCBO, the brewery retail store, and Beau’s BYOB service, for $7.85 each.
