Beau’s brings back FeBREWary with 7 beer releases and many events
Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co. of Vankleek Hill is bringing back FeBREWary again this year including 7 new beer releases and a multitude of events.
Beau’s has declared February 1 “International Gruit Day” and kicks off with a colloboration ale with Seattle, WA’s Elysian Brewing in form of Oiseau de Nuit, a gruit-style beer, brewed with herbs and spices in place of hops with an addition of pumpkin puree. Oiseau de Nuit will be available at Beau’s brewery and draught at select bars and restaurants in Ontario.
Next up, Beau’s will release an Oatmeal gruit on February 7 in conjunction with Ron Pattinson, a beer historian from the Netherlands who spoke at Beau’s Oktoberfest this year. The brew incorporates more oats than barley based on a historical 1400s recipe.
BogFather, and extra-strong herbed beer, returns on Feburary 15 to participate in Ottawa’s WinterBrewed festival.
Other confirmed events are a beer release of the next Beau’s Pro/Am Series brew (an imperial pilsner) on February 21 at Get Well in Toronto, a Beau’s beer dinner at Ottawa’s Urban Element on Febryary 13, a Brewers Breakfast in Vankleek Hill on February 24, and the LCBO releases of Beaver River spring seasonal (Feb. 21) and Strong Patrick Irish Red (Feb. 28), as well as a Greener Futures beer club release.
Visitors to the brewery in the month of FeBREWary will also be treated to free posters & limited edition pint glasses (while supplies last), and other prizes.
