Beau’s edges 32 local and International brands to win 2013 LCBO Brewmasters Cup
Of the 32 competitors in the 2013 edition of the LCBO’s Brewmasters Cup, Beau’s All Natural Brewing of Vankleek Hill, ON today hoisted the hardware at Toronto’s Festival of Beer on the main bandshell stage.
Garnering 58% of the overall public vote, Beau’s Lug Tread Lagered Ale edged out 3 other finalists including Muskoka Brewery’s Cream Ale, 2nd; Moosehead’s Lager, 3rd; and Samuel Adams’ Boston Lager, 4th.
Other Ontario honorable mentions include brands from Amsterdam, Cameron’s, Great Lakes, King, Steam Whistle and Wellington.
The previous year’s LCBO Brewmasters Cup pitted 16 International beers against each other – but did not include a single Ontario-crafted beer.
