Beau’s introduces 355ml cans
Vankleek Hill – Beau’s Brewing Co. today announced it’s Lug Tread Lagered Ale will soon be available in 355ml cans.
A limited run of Lug Tread, the official beer of Ottawa 2017, was produced in 355ml cans initially for Red Bull Crashed Ice, an outdoor sporting event taking place Saturday March 4, 2017 in downtown Ottawa in conjunction with Ottawa 2017 celebrations.
“The attractive 355 ml can design features a wrap-around design of the iconic Beau’s tractor. The packaging was done by a mobile canning operation, which came to the Vankleek Hill brewery for the limited production run,” writes Jennifer Beauchesne, Communications and Media Relationships at Beau’s.
A larger rollout of the 355 ml cans of Lug Tread is planned for Summer 2017 at the LCBO, grocery stores, and select summer festivals.
“At this point we are really testing things out, so in future we might do 473mLs, but our thinking is that because our bottles are large, moving to a smaller can might be good for fans that want a bit less beer at a time as well as folks who want the convenience of cans,” says Beau’s co-founder Steve Beauchesne.
