Bellwoods and Indie Alehouse announce double-version collaborative double IPA

bellwoods-tommyboyBellwoods Brewery of Toronto today announced details around their new take on collboratoin with Toronto brewpub, Indie Alehouse.

“We both decided to brew identical recipes, with one slight variation — each brewery used a different yeast! At Indie Jeff pitched a Belgian yeast into his wort, and over here at Bellwoods we used a more neutral American ale yeast”, says Bellwoods.

Both variations are twice-dry-hopped with Chinook, Simcoe, and the less common Ahtanum hops, stemming from the Ahtanum Creek Valley in Washington boasting strong floral and citrus notes.

Both versions of the Tommy Boy-inspired Tommy Likey are available on draught as of today, Friday, September 6 at both breweries, measuring at 9.5% ABV.

Bellwoods notes that the Indie version is also available on draught at their location for a limited time.
