Big Rock appoints Muskoka Brewery founder to board
Calgary – Big Rock Brewery – whom have a both a production brewery and brewpub in Toronto – has announced Gary McMullen, the now-retired founder of Muskoka Brewery in Bracebridge, has joined its board of directors.
“Founder, former president and owner of Muskoka Brewery, Mr. McMullen comes to Big Rock Brewery with over 20 years of experience in the premium segment of the brewing industry. Mr. McMullen’s deep roots in the Canadian craft brewing business also include his role as a founding member of the Canadian Association of Small Brewers and the Ontario Craft Brewers Association,” says the announcement.
McMullen, who stepped down from Muskoka Brewery in March 2017, helped grow his brewery from 5,000 hectolires to 52,000 hl from 1996 to 2017.
“Among his credentials is a Bachelor of Engineering, Engineering and Management from Royal Military College of Canada, Strategic Marketing Management from Harvard University, Queen’s University Executive Leadership Course, and Fellow of 2014 Quantum Shift from Ivey School of Business,” adds Big Rock.
