Black Creek announces new seasonal Winter Warmer

black-creek-logoToronto’s Black Creek Historic Brewery this week announced its new Winter Warmer, the final addition in its year-long specialty releases.

Using Black Creek’s Stout as its base, the Winter Warmer is laced with vanilla, cardamom and licorice root measuring at 6.5% ABV.

“The Winter Warmer hasn’t always been called by that particular name, but it’s been a fairly common practice over the centuries for brewers to gravitate towards heavier-bodied, more alcoholic beers when the weather turns cold,” writes Black Creek. “Winter Warmers tend to vary from brewer to brewer, with each favouring their own blend of flavours, aromas, and spices.”

Look for it at the Historic Brewery beginning Saturday, December 7 in 1.89L growlers for for $18. The brewery notes it will close for the holiday season starting Monday, December 23.
