Black Creek Brewery adds Dray Horse Ale to stable

Toronto’s Black Creek Historic Brewery has released Dray Horse Ale, a full-bodied brown ale made with Ontario-grown hops and malt.

Dray Horse Ale is the second installment of Black Creek’s 12 Historic Beers of Canada series, which launched in June with Rifleman’s Rationa brown ale marking the bicentennial of the War of 1812.

A dray horse was a a horse adapted for drawing heavy loads, such as barges, in the 1820-1829 era of canal building throughout Canada.
