Black Creek’s announces year-long specialty ale releases

Toronto’s Black Creek Historic Brewery will release eleven specialty ales this year, many based on historic recipes.

“Specialty beers are based on available seasonal ingredients and have always been popular with our visitors who are looking for unique locally brewed beers to try,” said Nick Foglia, Senior Manager, Sales, Visitor & Food Services at Black Creek Pioneer Vill

Black Creek Historic Brewery beers are sold in 64oz growlers. They cost $18, which includes the tax and a $4refundable deposit for the growler. The growlers are available for sale in the Black Creek Historic Brewery and the Half Way House restaurant.

The release schedule, running June through December, is provide below:

Maple Porter

July 13 & 14 (Carnival)
Raspberry Porter

August 24 – (Hop Harvest)
Lemon Balm & Mint Pale Ale

September
Fresh Hop/Wet Hop Pale Ale

September 28 & 29 (Pumpkin & Apple Days)
Harvest  Brown Ale or Autumn Ale flavoured with Sweet Potatoes

October
October 12, 13, 14  (Thanksgiving)
Sweet Stout

October 19, 20, 26, 27 Howling Hootenanny)
Pumpkin Ale

November
Estate Ale

December
December (weekends beginning December 7)
Winter Warmer
