Black Oak launches Craft Beer 101: Beer Knowledge for Newbies

black-oak-redEtobicoke’s Black Oak Brewing Co. will launch a new classroom-led instructional series, Craft Beer 101: Beer Knowledge for Newbies, to be hosted on Tuesday, June 18 from 7-9:30pm, during Ontario Craft Beer Week.

The 2.5 hour course will focus on the basics surrounding beer appreciation and brewing, covering topics that include the history of beer, styles, the brewing process, and creating food pairings.

“We want to focus on providing beer education to our customers, which is why we will keep offering a variety of different classes at Black Oak”, explains Black Oak’s Marketing Coordinator, Sonja North. Black Oak has offered their “Rubber Boot Camp” numerous times in the past which teaches the basics of homebrewing.

“This particular class is really meant for people who have just discovered the world of craft beer, but need some basic knowledge to enhance their drinking experience”, adds North.

Tickets, on sale now, are $30 and includes beer and cheese samples.
