Black Swan Brewing eyes Fall opening in Stratford
Stratford, ON – A second brewery could soon call Stratford home as the Black Swan Brewing Co. has applied for rezoning of a Downie Street location.
The brewery, being developed by local middle school teachers Bruce Pepper and Ryan Stokes, would feature a retail store and tasting room.
The proposed location – 144 Downie Steet – is 550 metres from Statford’s existing craft brewery – Stratford Brewing Co. – which originally opened in 2004 and produces a 4.9% Pilsner available at LCBOs in the Stratford area.
A town council meeting earlier this week found no objections to rezoning the property for the Black Swan Brewing Co., which could open as soon as Fall 2014.
