Blue Jays: John Tory bets local beers with Kansas City mayor
Toronto, ON – Toronto Mayor John Tory today accepted a bet with Kansas City Mayor Sly James on the outcome of the Blue Jays vs. Royals Series.
The bet, initiated by James via YouTube, challenged Tory to offer something other than maple syrup, while he proposed ribs and sauces from three of Kansas City’s top barbecue restaurants.
Tory will offer up beer from Toronto breweries Amsterdam, Left Field, Steam Whistle, and Great Lakes.
The seven-game Jays-Royals series kicks off tonight Friday October 16, 2015 at 8pm in Kansas City.
