Brauhaus teams with Indie Alehouse for homebrewer tap takeover

brauhaus-indieHomebrew events organizer Brauhaus today announced in conjunction with Toronto’s Indie Alehouse Brewing Co. a homebrew-only tap takeover scheduled for Toronto Beer Week on Tuesday, September 17.

Brauhaus is now accepting applications – due by July 10 – for the 12-tap takeover.

Up to 14 homebrewers will be selected to bring their recipes to Indie Alehouse to brew on their pilot system.

“Brauhaus believes that some of the most exciting and rare beers in Ontario are being brewed up in people’s garages and kitchens,” says Scott Stewart, one of Brauhaus’s founders. “Our events are all about sourcing the best home brews and sharing them with the beer-loving public — so we’re hyped to be showcasing home brew at this year’s Toronto Beer Week.”

“There will be a lot of events during TBW2013 that big breweries or big craft breweries spend a lot of money marketing and hyping up,” says Fisher, “This will be a something different. Less hype, more great beer.”
