Call for Entry: BrewSlam 2018 Homebrew Competition
Toronto – The fourth annual GTA Brews BrewSlam Homebrew Competition has issued its 2018 call for entry.
The competition is open to amateur brewers across Canada producing beer, mead and cider.
The Jon Mains Award is new for 2018 – it will be awarded to the top overall brewer by medal point count. Jon Mains was a avid homebrewer, beer enthusiast, and volunteer who died in June of this year.
Entry Deadline: November 3, 2018
Judging: November 9-11, 2018 at Amsterdam Brewery
Awards Ceremony: November 24, 2018 at Junction Craft Brewing.
Styles Accepted: All BJCP Beer/Mead/Cider styles
Entry limits: 1 entry per classic style subcategory (1-26, C1, M1). 2 entries per specialty category (21B, 27-34, C2, M2-M4), must be different beers. Max 12 entries per person.
In 2017, the BJCP-sanctioned national competition received 804 entries, from 8 provinces, judged by 73 judges, over just 3 days.
