Cannington Dog Sled Races and Winter Festival caps off January
Cannington, a small community in Brock Township in Durham Region, hosts its 8th annual Dog Sled Races and Winter Festival from January 25-27 at MacLeod Park.
More than 80 dog sled teams from across North America will be competing for a $10,000 purse, along with pancake breakfasts, carving demonstrations, dog sled and pony rides, snowshoeing, kick sledding, snow tubing, live music and dance, and of course – beer from 7 Ontario craft brewers.
Sawdust City Brewing Co. and Bracebridge’s Griffin Gastropub will be presenting a hands-on brew session – the beer style yet-to-be-determined.
Admission is $10/adult, $4/child under 12, or $25 for a family pass.
