Cassel Brewery receives $15k in government funding

Casselman – Federal funding in the amount of nearly $15,800 will give Cassel Brewery in eastern Ontario a boost, The Review reported today.

The funds will be used to assist the brewery in creating new jobs and addition to launching and marketing new beers.

“Today’s announcement is a great example of how innovation is essential to economic growth. Cassel Brewery will be able to enhance and expand their selection, create jobs and grow the local economy.” said Francis Drouin, Member of Parliament for Glengarry-Prescott-Russell.

A cheque was presented on behalf of the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development noted The Review.

“This contribution to our local businesses is a good example of the economic growth potential in Prescott-Russell,” explained Éric Drouin, Chair of the Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation. “The FedDev Ontario investment, made through the Eastern Ontario Development Program, will have a direct impact on our job creation and the growth opportunities for Cassel Brewery Inc.”

In 2013, Cassel Brewery was awarded $55,000 from the Eastern Ontario Development Program.
