Chronicle Brewing now open in Bowmanville
Bowmanville – Chronicle Brewing Co. is now open at 422 Lake Rd, Unit 3 in Bowmanville.
Founder Ted Paulsen with head brewer Jim Gorry (previously of nearby Manantler Craft Brewing) and assistant brewer Allan Cowling are currently working on a ~4.7 hectolitre nano system with plans to expand into the adjacent unit with a much larger brewhouse this year.
Gorry explains that the name – Chronicle Brewing – celebrates the group’s shared enjoyment of mythology, fables, games, medieval fantasy, sci-fi, and more. The brewery briefly went by the name Canadian Parks Brewing – releasing a collaboration in March with Whity’s Town Brewery under that banner – before finalizing on Chronicle Brewing.
The brewery will offer a tap room, retail store selling 473ml cans, and event space.
“For our grand opening, we’ll have an Idaho 7 dry hopped kettle Sour, Robust Milk Porter, classic West Coast IPA, English Mild, American style Amber Wheat, probably a couple other cool ones will be ready at some point around the opening,” adds Gorry.
Chronicle Brewing’s grand opening is Saturday April 28, 2018.
