Cicerone Certification Program launches officially in Canada
Chicago, IL – The Cicerone Certification Program today announced it will launch a fully tailored version of their certification for the Canadian market. Changes apply to both the Certified Beer Server and Certified Cicerone programs.
“People who live in nearly a dozen countries have earned Cicerone credentials, but the extensive participation in Canada led us to make it our first official international program,” said Ray Daniels, Cicerone Certification Program’s founder and director.
Canada is home to more than 250 Certified Beer Servers, 27 Certified Cicerones, and 1 Master Cicerone.
Major changes from the US version include details around drinking age, alcohol distribution and some aspects of beer style descriptions.
The new syllabi will be used for all Canadian Certified Beer Server and Certified Cicerone exams starting on March 1, 2014
