Cider to be sold at farmers markets beginning May

Toronto – The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has announced that Ontario-produced cider can be sold at farmers markets beginning May 1, 2016.

The announcement comes as part of the approval to sell Ontario VQA wines at farmers markets. Eligible cider and wine must be made from 100% Ontario-grown fruit.

Sampling of cider will also be permitted
