Collective Arts Brewing blends artists and beer, launches this September

creative-arts1Toronto’s Collective Arts Brewing, self-described” gypsy brewery”, is slated to launch Monday, September 9 with its Rhyme & Reason Pale Ale.

“Collective Arts Brewing brings together the cultural influences of music, film and the arts with the talents of inspired brewmasters who are on the forefront of craft brewing”, says the upstart.

“Each of our beers are literally a work of art. Inside, some of the most well crafted beers available today. And, on the outside, limited edition works of art by artists, musicians, writers and filmmakers presented as a numbered series.”

Artists were encouraged to submit label artwork which would be featured as 1 of 90 labels displayed on its inaugural release.

Ryan Morrow, brewmaster at Nickel Brook Brewery in Burlington, ON, was enlisted by Collective Arts in the development their 5.7% ABV Rhyme & Reason.

“Ryan’s first challenge was to create Collective Arts Brewing’s flagship beer, Rhyme & Reason Extra Pale Ale. Having experienced some incredible craft beers across North America (with extra appreciation for what is going on in Oregon, Washington, Colorado, California, and Vermont) we set out to create a well hopped extra pale ale that is both complex and sessionable”, writes Collective Arts.

Rhyme & Reason goes live at Collective Arts’ launch party this September.
