The Collingwood Brewery launches Freestyle Series

Collingwood – The Collingwood Brewery has launched their new Freestyle Series of beers – a limited edition line available through the brewery and select bars only.

Warp Nine (6%) – Based off the original collaboration with 102.1 The Edge’s Fearless Fred, this is a tweaked blend of 55% Saison and 45% Downhill Pale Ale (DPA). Look for a rounder earthy character and drier finished, says brewmaster Chris Freeman.

Unfiltered Pilsner (4.6%) – An unfiltered interation of the brewery’s Rockwell Pilsner. More pronounced notes from the Saaz and Tettanang hops, and a bready yeast character, should be present according to Freeman.

Both beers are available now in 473ml cans for $3.35 at The Collingwood Brewery.

Upcoming Freestyle Series releases include and all-Ontario IPA in October followed by a spiced Winter ale in December.
