Collingwood to receive second microbrewery
Collingwood, ON could soon have its second microbrewery in the works as a yet to be named brewery has applied for zoning approvals for a warehouse on Sandford Fleming Dr.
In August 2012, it was announced that Side Launch Brewing Co. was seeking zoning amendments for property on Mountain Rd. in Collingwood. The two breweries would be approximately 8.5km from each other.
The new brewery would produce pale ale and Belgian-style beers and could open as soon as Fall 2013 if approvals are in place.
Bayshore Broadcasting added that the brewery plans to hire four people at launch and grow to 20 employees and that the brewery would be, “3 percent the size of Creemore Springs to start and with future expansion would still be around 20 percent the size.”
