Could craft beer be served at Ottawa Stadium?

With affiliated minor league baseball finally returning to Ottawa in 2014—along with a host of improvements to the municipally owned Ottawa Stadium—one reader of Ottawa Citizen columnist Ken Gray’s blog The Bulldog is wondering why ball fans in the capital can’t also have good beer on tap:
[I] thought it would be great to see them take some seats out of the Ottawa Stadium to create a “Landshark Landing” type patio—with all the micro brewers springing up in Ottawa—it would be a sure hit.
“Landshark Landing” is a feature of Grayson Stadium in Savannah, Georgia, which Gray visited earlier this summer. It’s named after a Florida lager, albeit not a microbrewed one.
For some reason, Canadian sports teams have been averse to embracing the microbrewery phenomenon. Or at least, they haven’t embraced the perfect collision of delicious, locally brewed beer and a day at the ballpark to the extent that American teams have. Check out this list of the beer on tap at Major League Baseball’s 30 stadiums, if you remain skeptical.
