David Suzuki Foundation launches bee balm beer with Beau’s

Vankleek Hill – Beau’s Brewing Co. and the David Suzuki Foundation have announced the launch of Cross Pollination, a collaborative bee-friendly farmhouse ale brewed using bee balm oil and honey.

Among the David Suzuki Foundation’s ongoing initiatives is The Butterflyway Project, which aids Canada’s declining pollinator populations — bees and butterflies — by establishing networks of wildflower patches in neighbourhoods throughout Canada. A portion of Cross Pollination sales proceeds will be delivered to The Butterflyway Project, according to Beau’s.

Cross Pollination is brewed using organic essential bee balm oil was sourced from Quebec, organic honey, and a traditional Belgian Saison yeast.

It launches Thursday June 1, 2017 through Beau’s retail store and in draught at select bars and restaurants in Ontario.
