Amsterdam’s waterfront brewpub details revealed
New details have emerged regarding upcoming Amsterdam Brewing Co.‘s waterfront brewpub in Toronto.
Partnering with the city’s Harbourfront Centre, Amsterdam will convert existing space into a brewpub and retail store alongside a massive patio edging Toronto’s waterfront.
Designed by Mackay Wong Strategic Design, the brewpub will focus on modernized 1930s design with featuring huge windows overlooking Lake Ontario on three sides, a 450-seat dining room and bar area with additional waterfront patio seating for 350, a dedicated event space, and a craft brewery with retail store focusing on specialty batches of beer.
Tastings, tours, beer-themed dinners and special events will also be offered.
“This new venture will create a dynamic new establishment that will compliment Harbourfront Centre’s goal to create a thriving waterfront for residents and visitors alike to access and enjoy.” said Helder Melo, Harbourfront Centre’s Director of Site Operations.
Jeff Carefoote, CEO of Amsterdam Brewing added, “We are very excited to continue this tradition at what we believe is the premier place in the city to relax and enjoy a beer and a meal.”
Located at 245 Queens Quay West, completion of the brewpub is slated for early summer 2013.
