Dominion City Brewing opens doors in east-end Ottawa

dominion cityOttawa, ON – On the heels of a successful crowd-funding campaign with Kickstarter, Dominion City Brewing Co. this weekend opened at its #15­5510 Canotek Road location in Ottawa’s east end.

Dominion City launches with three craft beers including its Town and Country Blonde Ale, Earl Grey Marmalade Saison and Two Flags IPA available in 1.89l growlers 750mL bottles and kegs.

The brewery’s hand made tasting bar is built from reclaimed pine timber that spent more than a century at the bottom of the Ottawa River and the room itself is designed with barn board rescued from a decades old barn in nearby Almonte, Ontario, says Dominion City.

“We’re also thrilled to announce that as of Friday August 8th, the eve of our retail opening, Dominion City beers will be on tap at four fantastic Ottawa restaurants: Bowman’s Bar and Grill,
Brothers Beer Bistro, Union 613, and The Wellington Gastropub,” says Josh McJannett, Dominion City Brewing Company Co­Founder. “We’re excited to be working with great local restaurants who share our vision for delicious, local craft beer.

Through Kickstater, Dominion City Brewing sourced $19, 617 from 273 backers through their campaign which concluded in April 2014.
