East End Brewing acquires Hogtown Brewers
Toronto – East End Brewing Co. – an upcoming brewery in east Toronto – has acquired Hogtown Brewers.
Launched in January 2012 by a group of rugby players, Hogtown Ale has been brewed on contract for the last five years and sold through the LCBO and on draught in Toronto. The brewers also released occasional one-offs.
Hogtown Brewers had been actively seeking a buyer. According to the announcement, the Hogtown brand will continue under new ownership.
East End Brewing Co. is currently under construction at 262 Carlaw Avenue in Toronto’s Leslieville neighbourhood.
