Eastern Ontario Development Fund invests $535k in Whitewater Brewing

Ottawa – Whitewater Brewing Co. is the recipient of $535,600 from the Eastern Ontario Development Fund, the ministry for Small Business announced today.

The goverment funding supports an investment of $3,034,400 by Whitewater Brewing which will help creat 55 new jobs and keep 52 existing positions.

“These investments in Cornwall and Ottawa clearly show that Ontario is committed to strengthening our economy by investing in small businesses and local communities. The support announced today will allow these companies to expand their capacity and maintain a healthy economy for the people who live here,” said Bob Chiarelli, MPP for Ottawa West – Nepean.

Jeff Leal, the Minister Responsible for Small Business, notes, “Investing in companies that create good paying, local jobs is important to maintaining healthy and vibrant communities. Our continued support for regional economic development ensures that we keep companies in their communities and attract investments that help grow the local economy. Investing in our communities, families, and businesses is important for a strong and healthy Ontario.”
