Eastern Ontario FAB Region launches iCraft Brew app for brewery startups

icraftbrewNapanee, ON – Eastern Ontario’s Food and Beverage (FAB) Region today announced the launch of its new iCraft Brew app – a complement to its brewery startup Handbook – available for both Android and Apple platforms.

The FAB Region is an development partnership between the counties of Hastings, Prince Edward, Lennox & Addington and the Frontenac Community Futures Development Corporation with a goal of helping entrepreneurs ‘live their dream’ of operating an artisanal food and beverage business, according to the organization.

“Starting any business can be daunting, particularly one like craft brewing, which can have so many unknown factors beyond the making of the beer,” says Stephen Paul, Director, Community & Development Services in Lennox & Addington County. “With this app, we consulted experts, local craft brewers who have been operating successfully for some time, and put together a comprehensive resource that can help eliminate a lot of potential surprises. It’s like having a coach walk you through what you would need to do to fulfill your craft beer dream.”

The iCraft Brew app focuses on business factors including market analysis, navigating red tape, brewing how-to, business plan development, building relationships with local food producers and more.
