Fairweather Brewing now open in Hamilton
Hamilton – Fairweather Brewing Co. is now open at 5 Ofield Road in Hamilton’s Ainslie Wood neighbourhood.
Founded by Ram McAllister, formerly of Hoyne Brewing Co., Brent Milcz, formerly of Boshkung Brewing Co., and Dan Ryan, a home brewer and chemical engineer, the brewery says it has already begun brewing and will have beer available at bars in restaurants in the Hamilton area in the coming weeks prior to the opening of its tap room and retail store.
“We are also extremely fortunate to have teamed up with our good friend and mentor, Sean Hoyne, Brewmaster and Founder of Hoyne Brewing Co. in Victoria, BC,” writes the brewery. In addition, both McAllister and Milcz are graduates of Niagara College’s Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program.
“Our initial offerings will be on a limited release basis and will include mostly Belgian and American style ales along with several mixed fermentation and barrel aged offerings. Whether bright and hoppy, rich and dark, subtle and elegant, or any other combination of characteristics, beer at its best is a transcendent experience, and one that we are deeply committed to sharing.” says McAllister, head brewer.
The brewery’s tap room will only be open initially on May 26 at 11am, followed by its retail store, selling beer in 500ml bottles and 1.89l and 1l growlers, at a later date.
