First Milkshake IPA headed to LCBO
Barrie – The first Milkshake IPA-style beer is on its way to LCBO shelves as Live Transmission Milkshake IPA from Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery in Barre begins to roll out.
The trending style is typically brewed with lactose sugar and additions of varying fruits.
Toronto’s Bellwoods Brewery was among the first breweries in Ontario to introduce popularize the lactose-laden IPA with the advent of their Milkshark IPA series in early 2017. That lineup already boasts iterations using mango, pineapple, guava, vanilla, passionfruit, blackberry, and peach.
Live Transmission Milkshake IPA (6.3%) is brewed with with lactose sugar, grapefruit, orange peel, and coconut white tea – it will retail at $3.25 per 473ml can.
