Guelph, ON – Wellington Brewery today announced George Eagleson, of StoneHammer Brewing notoriety, will join Wellington’s brewing team beginning January 2016.

“George got his start in the 1990’s at Upper Canada Brewing and went onto work at other notable Ontario craft breweries such as Muskoka Brewery and Cool Brewing. Most recently, George has been the brewmaster of StoneHammer Brewing in Guelph for the last 9 years,” according to the statement.

Wellington brewmaster Marvin Dyck said, “you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone more passionate about craft beer”. As longtime friends and collaborators Marvin and George will work together to develop recipes for the Welly One-Off and Welly Re-Booted small-batch beer programs at the brewery.

Eagleson is also known for his annual Georgapalooza indsutry event and the Wurst Idea Ever, a sour ale brewed with Smoked Meat and Brussels Spout for Cask Days 2012.
