Grand River Brewing gets $87K expansion grant

Cambridge, ON – As part of Ontario’s Local Food Fund, a grant of $87,040 will be received by Grand River Brewing Co.

The funding will be put towards brewery expansion to increase production namely a new canning line and additional fermentation tanks, and the hiring of addition sales force to support its new output.

“It is great to see Grand River Brewing innovating and creating a great product right in our own community,” Cambridge MPP Kathryn McGarry stated in a news release. “To top it off, they are passionate about using ingredients harvested close to Cambridge.”

“The new canning line will help us get into the beer stores and will be the preferred size for the LCBO, says Grand River President, Bob Hanenberg. “It will also help us export into the U.S.”
