Great Lakes’ Johnny Simcoe Pale Ale goes gluten reduced

Toronto – Great Lakes Brewery has revived Johnny Simcoe Pale Ale in a new gluten-reduced incarnation, measuring under 20 ppm gluten – which qualifies as gluten-free within Canada’s Food and Drugs Act (and internationally).

An enzyme in certain brewers yeast called Clarity Ferm significantly reduces gluten content in barley and wheat-based beer.

Johnny Simcoe Pale Ale gluten-reduced is available now at the brewery in 473ml cans.
