Grocery store beer sales start Dec 15
Toronto – Grocery stores will begin selling beer beginning Tuesday, December 15, 2015, confirmed today by the Toronto Star. Premier Kathleen Wynne will be reportedly on hand Tuesday at Loblaws on Leslie St in Toronto to purchase beer for photo ops.
Up to 60 grocery stores will be authorized to sell beer within the next two weeks, according to The Star. Beer will be available in six-packs, four-packs and singles depending on the store.

Although other chains have been tight-lipped, Loblaws says they will have 19 stores across Ontario that will begin selling beer as of Tuesday, including:

· Etobicoke: Loblaws, 380 The East Mall
· Oshawa: Real Canadian Superstore, 1385 Harmony Rd N.

· Toronto: Loblaws, 50 Musgrave Street
· Toronto: Real Canadian Superstore, 2549 Weston Rd
· Toronto: Real Canadian Superstore, 51 Gerry Fitzgerald (Dufferin & Steeles)
· Toronto: Loblaws, 17 Leslie St (Leslie & Lakeshore)
· Cambridge: Zehrs, 400 Conestoga Blvd.
· London: Oakridge Mall Real Canadian Superstore, 1201 Oxford St. W.
· Kitchener: Highland Hills Real Canadian Superstore, 875 Highland Ave. W.
· Windsor: Real Canadian Superstore, 4371 Walker Rd.
· Hamilton: Fortinos, 65 Mall Rd.
· Ottawa: South Kanata Real Canadian Superstore, 760 Eagleson Road
· Ottawa: Loblaws College Square Market, 1980 Baseline Rd.
· Kingston: Loblaws, 1100 Princess St.
· Stittsville: Browns Your Independent Grocer, 1251 Main St.
· Thunder Bay: Real Canadian Superstore, 971 Carrick Street
According to beer writer Ben Johnson, Loblaws’ beer selection will consist of up to 50% Ontario beer, where new government guidelines call for a minimum of 20% shelf space.
