Highlander’s Twisted Spruce is back, brewed with local spruce tips
Highlander Brew Co. of South River, is back with their Twisted Spruce Ale, brewed with spruce tips harvested just 60-steps from the brewery.
The golden-hued ale incorporates four varieties of hops and malt measuring in at 5.6% ABV with flavours of honey and nut alongside subtle spruce notes, with a finish similar to that of an IPA.
Twisted Spruce Ale is available on draught in select pubs in Ontario and will follow in bottles available at the Highlander retail store. An LCBO release is also in the works.
