Indie Alehouse brewer brings deep fried cheese curds to CNE
Toronto – Indie Alehouse head brewer Jeff Broeders is stepping away from the brewing life temporarily to launch The King of Curds at the 2017 CNE, running August 18 – September 4.

Deep fried cheese curds is the sole focus.
Broeders, who has been brewing professionally for more than five years, was inspired by the deep fried cheese curds he and his family ate every year at the State Fair in Minnesota, where Broeders is from.
Three lightly-battered varieties will be served including: plain fried curds with dipping sauce (ranch, marinara, Frank’s Red Hot, or ketchup), fried curds topped with gravy, and fried curds sprinkled with icing sugar and served with pure maple syrup.
Although The King of Curds doesn’t serve beer, it’s situated adjacent to Craft Taps – the new Sawdust City Brewing beer garden – at the north-east corner of BMO field.
Jeff and partner Karyn Johnson will be serving 10am–midnight daily.
