Junction Craft releases Admiral Tiberius Pale Ale

admiralJunction Craft Brewing Co. of Toronto, ON has released its new Admiral Tiberius Pale Ale, a self-described, “Intergalactic One Hopper” based primarily on the Admiral hop varietal.

A crossbreed between both Northdown and Challenger hops, the Admiral hop was cultivated in the UK in 1998 and used predominantly as a bittering hop. Flavours are noted as orangery, citrus and herbal while its bittering characteristics are described as assertive and resinous.

A small percentage of Fuggles was also used. “The Fuggles are there to support the Admiral, but it’s all about the Admiral and Tiberius, of course,” says Junction Craft’s Tom Paterson.

Admiral Tiberius Pale Ale measures at 5.2% ABV and rated at 40 IBUs and is available now through Junction Craft’s brewery retail store in 500mL bottes for $5.10 each and 1.89L growlers at $15.75.

A single cask of Admiral Tiberius Pale Ale will be available at C’est What? in Toronto.
