Kensington Brewing announces BrOcktoberfest celebration

kensington-2Toronto’s Kensington Brewing Co. has announced its Oktoberfest-themed party, BrOcktoberfest, slated for Sunday, September 29 hosted in part by the Food Network’s Kevin Brauch of Thirsty Traveler and Superstar Chef Challenge.

Three new collaborations will be pouring in conjunction with Indie Alehouse and Sawdust City featuring a smoked pumpkin ale brewed with hops grown by Kensington Brewing. The usual suspects – Augusta Ale, FishEYE-PA and Tilt – will also be on hand alongside a one-off cask.

“Neighbourhood butcher Sanagan’s is supplying sausages to be prepared by Completo, but don’t expect a classic bratwurst. There will be an adult-sized jenga set and a pinball machine as well. There will be no polka, lederhosen or dirndl.  Yes ladies and gentlemen, this is not your Opa’s Oktoberfest….it’s BrOcktoberfest!”, exclaims Kensington Brewing.

Tickets are $13 which include a filled 20oz mug or $5 at the door. Beer refills are $5.

The event is held outdoors at 214 Augusta Avenue in Kensington Market in Toronto from 1-7pm.
