Lake of the Woods Brewing launches Canada Day weekend
Lake of the Woods Brewing Co., Ontario’s northern-most brewery – based in Kenora, northwest of Thunder Bay – has announced it will open officially on Saturday, June 29, 2013, during the Canad Day long weekend.
The launch meets their targeted goal of a June 2013 launch.
The brewery reconstituted a century-old fire hall to house their brewery, restaurant, and retail store.
Lake of the Wood’s brewmaster, Bernhard Wieland will launch three brands during the launch which reflect Kenora and Lake of the Woods heritage – Paper Maker Pilsner, Sultana Gold Ale, and Fire House Amber Ale, available in 1.89l growlers.
Chef Joe Dokuchie has been recruited to head the restaruant.
“Come check out the new digs, eat some great food by Chef Joe, play some pool, and enjoy live music starting at 2pm”, invites the brewery.
Doors open 11am this Saturday.
