Left Field announces two new releases and brewery updates
Toronto, ON – Left Field Brewery today announced two new beers – Lead Off Single and Prospect: Citra – are coming down the pipe, both brewed at their new brewery in Toronto.
Lead Off Single, its first in-house brewed batch, is a 4.9% ABV Belgian-style table beer. “The Belgian yeast gives the beer subtle apple, pear and sweet spice aromas while the flavour is well balanced with hints of fresh white bread, an initial fruity acidity, a sharp carbonation and a somewhat lasting and slightly bitter finish,” says left field.
Next up is Left Field’s latest in the Prospect single-hopped IPA linup – Prospect: Citra. Big, juicy grapefruit, lime, peach and melon aromas are present and the taste is more of the same with a lasting, bitter finish at 8.8% ABV define this beer according to the brewery.
Find these beers beginning this weekend at locations including Bar Volo, Tallboys, The Borough, The Only, The Wren, Wisebar, The Auld Spot, Bar Hop, Bar Volo, Hitch, La Carnita, Porterhouse, Tequila Bookworm, The Ceili Cottage, Thirsty & Miserable, Wise Bar, and WVRST.
Going forward, the brewers noted that all beers – including their mainstay Eephus Oatmeal Brown Ale and Maris* Pale Ale – will be brewed in-house and no longer contract brewed at Grand River Brewing in Cambridge.
Left Field also hinted at a targeted retail and tasting bar opening of late-March or early-April 2015.
