Left Field Brewery launches Sunlight Park Saison
Toronto, ON – Left Field Brewery today announced the release of its new summer seasonal, Sunlight Park Saison, honouring Toronto’s first professional baseball stadium built in 1886.
About the name, Left Field says, “the stadium stood south of Queen Street East, west of Broadview Avenue, and north of Eastern Avenue on the east side of the Don River. It was initially known as the Toronto Baseball Grounds and later nicknamed “Sunlight Park” after the Lever brothers’ Sunlight Soap Works factory located just beyond the outfield fence. The all-wooden structure sat 2,250 fans and later became home to the city’s first International League championship.”
Left Field’s saison is brewed to 5.3% ABV with malted wheat and honey malt, organic grapefruit zest, and Belgian saison yeast.
It is available now on draught at bars across Toronto including Bar Hop, Bar Volo, C’est What, Get Well,Hitch, Tequila Bookworm, The Casbah, and The Only Cafe.
