Left Field Brewery joins Ontario’s ever-expanding craft beer industry initially operating on contract through Grand River Brewing in Cambridge, ON, with plans to construct its own brewery in Toronto.

Founded by husband and wife Mark and Mandie Murphy, the brewing company was inspired for the couple’s love of baseball. Mark was trained through Niagara College’s Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program.

Left Field will launch with three initial products including Eephus, a 5.5% ABV, 35 IBU Oatmeal Brown Ale named after a seldom-thrown and unexpected pitch, 6-4-3, an 8.4% ABV, 92 IBU Double IPA inspired by Baseball’s favourite double-play and Maris, a 4.5% ABV, 30 IBU single-hop series American Pale Ale brewed primarily with Maris Otter malt and named after Roger Maris.

Eephus will launch at bars in Toronto very shortly, and all three products will be on hand at the brewery’s launch party taking place on Friday, April 5 at 3030 in The Junction in Toronto.
