Left Field calls up Prospect Cascade IPA
Toronto, ON – Left Field Brewery today announced the fourth addition to its Single Hop series lineup, Prospect Cascade IPA.
“The recipe for each batch of Prospect will remain the same as the last and it is only the hop variety, quantity and addition schedule that will change from batch to batch with the goal of showcasing the unique qualities of each selected hop,” says Left Field. The base malts for each include Canadian 2-row, Maris Otter, Crystal 40 and Carapils.
One of the most widely used hops across North American, the Cascade hop was originally bred in Oregon in 1972. Its real strength in brewing is in the aroma with floral notes, spiciness and citrus, including grapefruit.
Measuring at 6.3% ABV with 60 IBUs, Prospect Cascade IPA launches this week on draught across Toronto including Bar Volo, Dukes Refresher + Bar, Hi-Lo, Tallboys, Tequila Bookworm, The Oxley, Thirsty & Miserable, WVRST and others.
