Little Beasts Brewing opens this Summer in Whitby
Whitby – Little Beasts Brewing Co. said this week that its brewery, currently under construction at 2075 Forbes St. in Whitby, will open this Summer 2017.
Founders Erin Broadfoot (Siebel graduate, former brewer at 5 Paddles Brewing, BJCP judge, and instructor Durham College) and John Henley) and John Henley (Brewer, BJCP judge), say the 10 hectolitre brewery will feature a small taproom with a bottle shop offering a selection of Pale Ales, IPAs, Stouts and a seasonally themed line of Saisons. A barrel program is also planned for later this year.
Regarding the name, Little Beasts, Broadfoot explains, “The name revolves around the most important part of the beer process – the yeast! It’s the little beasts that create the final product that we all love.”
“Experimentation, creativity and fun will be a definite part of the brewing process. As the brewery grows one can expect to see Sours, Mixed Culture Fermentations and many experimental IPAs,” adds Broadfoot.
A specific opening date was set other than this Summer.
